Counselling and Psychotherapy in Dulwich and South East London

Counselling Dulwich: I am a UKCP registered* professional Counsellor and Psychotherapist with 30 years experience in full-time private practice. I work with both individuals and couples, either on an open-ended basis or for a fixed term. I work primarily with adults who are experiencing change or upheaval in their lives. As a counsellor I look at problems not only from the perspective of personal history, but also from the perspective of soul. In this way difficulties can be understood not just as things which have to be overcome, but as a spiritual movement towards greater integration of the height and depth of the psyche. In this way we cooperate with the natural inclination in every person which, over the course of life, leads to greater wisdom, tolerance and a deepening of the capacity to love.

I am experienced in helping clients who have had difficulties with :

  • Seeing any meaning in their problems
  • Stress and anxiety
  • Relationships with self and other
  • Abuse and manipulation
  • Bereavement and loss
  • Redundancy and major life changes
  • Depression and grief
  • Guilt, shame and envy
  • Compulsive and addictive behaviour
  • Feeling out of control
  • Loss of hope

My counselling and psychotherapy practice is in New Cross, Lewisham, which is in South East London, within easy reach of tube, rail and bus connections. Presently I work with people from Beckenham, Bromley, Camden, Docklands, Dulwich, East London, Islington, Kent, Lewisham and Southwark. People also come from the City of London, London Bridge, Victoria and Blackfriars. (See contact details for stations and times.)

*Registration with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherpy means that your counsellor is accredited and that you have redress in the case of unethical behaviour. In addition to this, UKCP registration requires that members have their work professionally supervised and have a commitment to ongoing professional development.
